Where do I start?

  • Call 808-591-9220 to schedule an appointment. Our staff will find you an open time to schedule your session. All appointments are on a First Come First Served basis. Do not call at the last minute as appointment times fill up quickly. Any cancellations or rescheduling must be made 24 hours in advance or there will be a $10 fee. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Senior sessions are completed in the months of June and July, and 2 weeks into August. Call early to take advantage of additional free prints as well as early pricing.

What is included in my sitting fee?

  • Your sitting fee will include a photo shoot for the yearbook. Your selection of the pose will then be added on to the background that your school chose for the yearbook. You may order prints from this pose by choosing a separate Senior Package Plan.

What is retouching?

  • Basic retouching includes minor blemish removal, skin tone adjustment and removal of stray hairs. Special retouching can be purchased for removal of braces, opening of eyes, filling/lifting/shaping of hair and removing sun tan lines. Other special requests can be made as well.

What do I wear?

  • Plan your outfit in advance. Ensure that it is clean and wrinkle free.

  • Solid colors or simple patterns help to not distract away from your face.

  • Avoid loud patterns, slogans, or large logos.

  • Avoid too much black. Break it up with colors or simple patterns.

  • Be sure to try on your outfits before your photo session. Find outfits that are comfortable to wear.

  • If your school will be using a formal Drape for girls and Suit for boys, please follow these directions:

    • GIRLS - Bring a Tube Top or Strapless Top to wear under the Drape. Our staff will help with putting that on.

    • BOYS - Ace Portrait will provide you with a shirt, tie and suit. Color is based off of your school’s choice.

How do I order personal prints?

  • After your yearbook photo is completed, you can then change into your other outfit for your personal prints. Your photographer will take 9 to 12 photos of each outfit. Once completed, you will then choose the image that you would like to have printed. Personal prints can be retouched and also have the background changed to what you want. Once completed and approved, you can order your package and your prints will be ready in approximately 2 weeks.

How long does the photo session last?

  • Please allow for 30 to 60 minutes per session. This includes the time of the photo session as well as the time for choosing the images and ordering.

What if there are no availabilities on the date that I want?

  • To be fair to the other seniors, we work on a first come first served basis. Session times are limited and will often fill up for the entire day. We do recommend calling early to schedule your appointment.

What do I bring to my session?

  • Girls - please bring a Tube Top or Strapless Top if your school is using a formal Drape. You can ask when calling to make the appointment.

  • Bring one to two different outfits of your choice. Outfits have to abide by your schools student handbook under appropriate dress code.

  • If you have any props that you would like to include ( band instrument, sports gear, you may bring them in and we can decide if the props can be used )

How do I get information on package prices?

  • Information on packages and pricing have been mailed out each student. If you have not received one or if your school is not on our mailing list, please feel free to contact us by using the website contact form, email or call to get more information.

What if I need special assistance?

  • If you or your student have special circumstances or needs, we’re more than happy to accommodate you. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare ahead of time.

What have you done to keep my child safe from Covid-19?

  • Safety for you and your child as well as our staff is very important to us. If you have any concerns or suggestions, feel free to let us know. Here are some things that we have implemented to help with the situation:

    • Sneeze guards have been added to minimize contact between staff and customers

    • Regularly scheduled disinfecting after every student

    • All staff and customers must wear a mask. Students will be instructed on when they are able to remove their masks.

    • We are limiting the amount of people inside the studio. We kindly ask that each student only bring 1 parent or guardian. Please keep siblings away if possible.

    • Photographer will give posing instructions at a safe distance.

    • To view and pick out your images, there will be an acrylic barrier between you and the photographer.
